The River House in Andermatt was such a charming little place! The building was old and lovely, the food was delicious, and the location couldn't have been better. Definitely recommend for a cozy getaway.
Oh, and I just loved how empty the hotel was. No, really, it's such a nice feeling to have the whole place to myself.

The rooms at Boutique Hotel The River House are just perfect for a cozy mountain getaway. The alpine charm of each room is absolutely captivating, making you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale. As a guest with disabilities, I especially loved the fact that all rooms have a bathroom with a hairdryer. It's the little things that make a big difference!
If I had to nitpick, I'd say that the only thing I liked less was the mesmerizing history of The River House. But hey, that's just me.

Located next to a beautiful river flowing through the center of the small town, this hotel is a charming place to stay. Rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable, with views of the river and rustic, yet modern, design details. the friendly staff provide excellent service, offering a warm welcome and charming breakfast with a variety of local products. Adjacent to the hotel is a lovely pub/restaurant, serving delicious food, including homemade yogurt and hamburgers.
The limited number of electrical sockets in the rooms makes it difficult to charge electronics.

the cozy room with breathtaking view of a church and mountains was a perfect way to relax after a long day of work. the delicious food and friendly staff made us feel right at home. the location was also ideal, with easy access to beautiful alpine walks and attractions.
The lack of an elevator in the building, which made it a bit difficult with all our luggage. the charming atmosphere and modern conveniences made up for it.
